Sadly, the final toll was 18 Speed Week motorcycle deaths on the roads in and around Daytona.

No one is suggesting ending the events at Daytona.

I don't know if it has any bearing on the number of fatalities,but they no longer have a helmet law in Florida, and since they did away with it,the number of fatalities seems to have risen again.However,if you think there are some crazy bikers who visit the IoM, go and take a look at Daytona Bike Week!!!
