I wonder if the fire at the fuel place near Heathrow will have an effect, or was it just storage?

The Buncefield fire did affect fuel supplies into Heathrow and Luton but that was mainly kerosine (turbine fuel). Avgas is high spec petrol that is distributed in smaller quantities. While some may have gone up in the fire they should heve been able to cover distribution from elsewhere.

I'll know soon anyway, my annual trip to local friendly aerodrome is due Wink

If they get short they can go to the TT pump, since the demise of 2stroke racing on the island they have plenty? only trouble its 2 years old. :cry:

Used the TT pump once for Avgas, for the BM.

Water in it.

That was 1999 - now, I import my own.

Tank is still half full from 99 larryd, only difference is, it has more water in it now but still the same price as fresh stuff. ( who said octane booster? ) Lol

I tried to bring some home with me, as "Duty Free", from Saudi Arabia, in old wine bottles.
There were no corks available so I stuffed rags in the tops of the bottles. :shock:

For some unknown reason, they threw me off the plane. :oops: :roll:
