I am a bit puzzled by the reference in this to him being a member of the works Norton team at the TT?? Anyone know anything?

At only 66yo he would have had to be a works factory rider in his teens if we are talking about the old Bracebridge St era.
Only 1 Andrew Ross on TT database and he rode private japanese bikes in the 80s. No Andrw Ross on MGP database so I guess its not a very well researched article.

My own thought. I wonder if he was a team mechanic or engineer?
