Yes what a bummer for those who have to leave, it may have been a once in a lifetime trip to the Island and it is sad they could not experience what keeps us all hooked for the rest of our lives.
One bright aspect is that perhaps the only thing commercialism cannot control is the weather.
Large Ecclestone like manipulations are unlikely to happen at the TT due to such circumstances where a whole day or days of racing cannot take place on schedule for the world TV audience.
I find a little comfort in this thought.
