I think it's a guy called Stig Jarmer and I believe it was actually about 1992! I'll stand corrected... Smile

I'm with Sticky on this one. There was a Danish rider called Stig Jarmer crashed at the Brandywell about 1993 or 94, and I remember seeing this crash footage at the time. In fact I'm pretty sure I've got it on an old video stashed away somewhere.
At that time, I was very friendly with some of the Danish riders.and Jorgen Vendelbo stayed with us when he rode in the TT in 1993/94. He watched this footage on our tv/video and told me that he knew the rider as a fellow Dane.
He also told me that he was badly injured and had to have a rod inserted into his spine, as he came into contact with a fence post when he landed.
I hope this helps solve the mystery? :?

I know it says 2003 but thats what the original person who posted the video says. It's a case of "don't believe all you read"!
To illustrate this, whilst I have been out of action recently, I have taken the time to catch up on reading certain books which, in their own individual ways, have told the story of the Centenary of the TT., from 1907 to 2006.
If I had a fiver for every mistake and false statement I have uncovered along the way, I would have more than enough money to repair my bike!
I'm not saying which books they are, but it's not good enough. Someone reading them in, say, 20 years time, will be reading the wrong facts.
That film was from the year 1993-94 give or take a year or so.

Barry is right..............

It looks like a CBR600 to me and it's definatly pre 97 in fact it looks a bit like a 92 or 93 CBR

As for facts and getting things right you only need to read this years TT programme to see how the truth can be corrupted.

It's Stig Jarmer, 600 Supersport Race, 1993 TT. It's on the official TT video that year, with Peter Kneale commentating.
