If this is true, it's very sad, and I offer my condolences to his family. Always a special place for Bill, as he was a true motorcyclist, not just a professional rider. Brilliant trials rider, (the Jefferies family will always rate a trials rider), excellent development rider, and a sound engineer. Can't believe that it was only two years ago we were with him at the 2005 TT Lap of Honour dinner. He and Cecil Sandford were on great form that night. So very very sad, and as Tom said, one of the greats of the past.
