Can you name anyone in this old MGP picture?

Nobody think there's something familiar about the gofer on the right hand side of the picture? Maybe he's got too much hair. :wink:

Yes, indeed. Steven was the gofer for the TB Oliver team at the Manx a couple of times, with his mentor, Willie Simson riding and/or mechanicing. He had just returned from the Chinese takeaway round the corner, with our lunch!

Here's a better one, of Steven with his younger brother, Garry,Willie Simson, Wendy Oliver, and Ian Hogg.
Garry was breathtakingly talented, but died in a tragic accident at Silloth, after his debut at the Manx. This prompted Steven to resume his racing, and the rest is history.



This picture, taken by me, apeared in Steven's book, and he got a lot of stick from me for not crediting it! :wink:

Helen which one is Ian Hogg? I had a good race with him at the Manx one year. If I remember rightly he crashed a T.B. Oliver TZ 350 at Quarry Bends early in MGP practice week about 10 years previously--so that would be around 1979 or 1980? Correct?? Where is he now??
