GREATEST MANXMAN EVER
IOMONLINE report that there is presently a search for opinions as to who the greatest Manxman ever there was ...

Has anyone any ideas, and has it to be a MAN ??

Surely we can find a suitable candidate

Re: GREATEST MANXMAN EVER
Robert McAleer, Mine Host at The Creek in Peel is my nomination for this honour. His cheery welcome every year is truly heartwarming, and the superlative quality of his fine ales leave other licensees stuggling to match his exacting standards,Just ask Rosie at the Sulby Glen....

Re: GREATEST MANXMAN EVER
To avoid accusations of sexism, could I suggest that the greatest Manxman ever was the 250cc four-valve Excelsior of, I think, 1936/7?

Re: GREATEST MANXMAN EVER
Nice one larry but if you want to see Exelsior Manxman etc i strongly advise you to purchase the historic videos which the Wirral 100 distribute, Oulton in the 50s etc and those outfits mindbending viewing from the good old days.

Re: GREATEST MANXMAN EVER
Hey, Pykey, you on commission?
Just got my TT DVD and been watching it....stopped listening after 5 minutes....pair of prats watching a film and commenting on it...not even an attempt "be there". Turn off the sound and it improves radically....lots of lovely lovely sidecars......
Should have my Southern100 video soon...then I am locking the door, turning up the heating, phoning in sick till March, and just watching them...

Re: GREATEST MANXMAN EVER
There were 250s and 350s, but the 250 was the much more successful in its class.
