RE: Where - When - Who
They appear to be pre-war Clady circuit
No. 1. Second bike appears to be a DKW
No. 2 Not a clue, might be Clady again, with extra footrests to get down to it, and 'nut protector' round the back of the tank
No. 3 Walter Rusk
No. 4 Looks like Stanley Woods at the Clady

Over to Larry!

Spot with the Clady circuit Bill...and yes Walter Rusk (not me Nod ha ha) in the 3rd pic. My old hero Stanley Woods it is in the 4th pic but what about the fella in the 2nd pic...and also the years....wee clue - the years are different in each pic????

RE: Where - When - Who
Pic 1 is Clady Corner during the 1938 "Ulster" - in fact, they're all UGPs of various vintage.

The DKW is a 250 ridden by Ernie Thomas - he won the class.

Don't know who's on the Norton - can't read the number.

Pic 2 is Chris Tatttersall "making adjustments" to his 250 CTS during the 1936 Ulster. Photo was taken at Thorn Cottage.

Pic 3 is Walter Rusk behind the Clady Grandstand in 1937.

Behind him, I am nearly sure, is an old family friend called Bruce Hill, a Belfast dentist whom I was lucky enough to talk to at length about Walter a year or so before he (Bruce) died.

He was good enough to give me a number of fascinating racing snaps from his own personal photo albums.

Pic 4 is of course the great Stanley winning the 350 in 1939.

And for the jackpot:

The book is "Return Journey", sub-titled "Photographs by Arthur Campbell - Belfast and Beyond - 1936 - 1939."

Try a bit harder John!!

As ever Larrry go to the top of the class.
