We are delighted to be able to announce that Mark has secured a ride with Rob Mc Elnea Pro Ride Team in the 2009 British Supersport cup series, Mark will contest the series on a full spec Mc Elnea R6 supersport and will receive the teams backup and expertise for the 9 round Supersport Cup. Mark cut his teeth in 2008 in the UK racing scene with the Triumph Challenge series and despite never racing at any of the circuits before, pulled off an impressive championship win. Mark took in a one off R1 cup ride at Cadwell Park and finished an impressive 9th place which had obviously impresed Rob Mc Elnea enough open up talks regarding the 09 season.
With this in mind we thought it be a good idea to do a race with the BSB Supersport class at Silverstone on our own Slick tuned Triumph. Mark again stepped up to the occasion to finish a great 26th place overall which would have placed him 4th in the Supersport Cup on the day and again impressed one or two onlookers and he went on the same day to clinch the Triumph series in front of a BSB audience.
Mark would like to thank everyone that has helped make his season one to remember and would more than welcome any support that can be offered to help achieve his dreams in 2009 with the knowledge that he will be sat on one of the most competitive bikes on the grid, We will also be able to offer hospitality at any of the BSB meetings to potential sponsors in the Rob Mac Hospitality unit where you will be able to meet team riders etc etc ,interested parties will get great satisfaction from the knowledge that their input has helped Mark on his way to turning his childhood dreams into reality as they switch on their tv on to see him flying the Manx flag at the highest level of British 600 racing.
