Bike running in....
Morning all.

If I get an entry, I'm running my 250 in the post classic race.

The problem I have is running it in. I'll have a new set of pistons in it for practice week, which I'll run in over here. But, I'll be due a new set before the end of practice week and definately before racing.

Now, I remember it being mentioned last year (my first year) that you can get insurance on the island to ride a race bike on the road. Could I get this for a bike that has no V5 or anything? Could I use that for running in? Or is it supposed to be only for riding to the paddock?
Would Jurby be available?
Will there be a dyno I could use?

Any advice or suggestion gratefully recieved!

Thanks,

Paul Welch

Hi Paul,

Jurby airfield is made available for competitors to test and run their bikes in, you just have to get a permit from the race office.

Cheers
