RE: [split] Nothing to do with Eddie Nelson,
Actually George to get this straight once and for all, I was at the start line and Bud was one of only TWO riders to run the red flag. The others that finnished behind Bud were overtaken by him on the last lap, they were still on their 5th lap as Bud was starting his 6th. All of this is by the by. I agree that both riders that had the red flag shown to them and ignored it should both hav been disqualified if they had acknowlaged the red flag. Bud did so by the raising his arm the first time around and on the second by raising two fingers to the officials who were holding the flag. THIS CAN NOT BE ALLOWED. No matter who it was this should never happen and you are a fool if you think it should be perfectly fine to do this when you are the one who has ignored a RED FLAG. Which we all know if one is shown you should stop straight away no matter what or where they maybe shown.
So basically if you think that passing a red flag is ok, then you are just causing more trouble than its worth an all of your comments should be ignored. What would have happened if the reason for the flag was a crash at the bottom of Bray, and Bud was killed, you would be on here shouting about why didn't they stop him. Well he ignored the flag and this, as said on here many many times, should be punished. Bud did himself no favours by the amount of disrespect shown to the flag person and the officials afterwards.
I just hope you are not condining this type of behaviour George as it would only go to show your ignorance about whats actually involved in putting on a race of this sort.
When people say one thing and mean another its called politics, when organisers say one thing and mean another its called a mistake, when the ACU say one thing and mean another its called information.

RE: [split] Nothing to do with Eddie Nelson,
David I have no reason to disagree with you but if you take a look at the lap details for lap 5 and six you will see that the same riders were behind Bud at the start of both laps, they were also the last three riders to finish lap six. If Bud was red flaged at the start of lap 6 along with the two other riders behind him, then they should have been Black flagged, is that not the rules, or a mater of safety. These three riders were alowed to complete the last lap but only one disqualified.
Yes I would agree break the rules and be punished, but punish all that broke them.
Just a thought, If the riders had passed a red flag at the Bray Hill Crossroads at the start of lap six, what happened to the rest of the red flags on the track, were they not out, I cant believe that riders would race the last lap if the red flags were out, something is not right.
