Difficult to believe its been 6years.

Hero is a word occassionally lightly used but never in his case, simply one of the very best racers i have had the priviledge to watch and much more so have as a friend.
Made a trip to the cairn in his memory just a couple of weeks ago.
Treasured memories and never to be forgotton.
Thankyou Steve.

So skilful his hand on the throttle,
Adrenalin flowing with ease,
Hard Work, Dedication and bottle,
That brought home 11 TT's,
At home among friends or with strangers,
For this was one hell of a man,
Who mastered the worst of its dangers,
And conquered the Isle of Man.

One of the books I took into hospital was "Hizzy" and while I had the attention span of a fly (since I have been on various high strength painkillers), managed to find bits in his book I had more or less forgotten over the last few years.

I often wonder what he would have been doing in 2009 had he not had the horrendous accident.

We are all the more richer having known all these guys, thanks to our common love of motorcycle racing.............................................
