As reported on the IOM online website

Misadventure was the verdict recorded on an experienced TT racer who died in a high speed accident during this year's TT races.

An inquest heard 39-year-old New Zealander Paul Raymond Dobbs lost control on the fast right hand bend at Ballagarey on lap one of the the Supersport Race Two on June 10.

Straw bales on the outside of the bend exploded as Mr Dobbs' bike hit them and he was thrown more than six feet into the air landing in the road.

As marshals waved yellow flags to warn following riders attempts were made to revive Mr Dobbs but he died at the scene.
