That’s the message to government over plans to reform the Manx Grand Prix.

A total of 210 people packed the Mount Murray Hotel last night for a meeting called by MGP organisers the Manx Motor Cycle Club.

Key figures within the event including competitors, motorcycle enthusiasts, team bosses, volunteers and those in the hospitality industry passionately voiced their concerns.

While not opposed to a change in structure, the message from both locals and visitors was clear:

MHK hopes for MGP compromise

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister Tim Crookall, MLC Juan Turner and Middle MHK Howard Quayle attended last night's meeting on the Manx Grand Prix at the Mount Murray Hotel.

They were there alongside over 200 other people, to hear the Manx Motor Cycle Club's opposition to the Department of Economic Development's proposed changes to the event.
