More problems on the Island's roads
.

The Mountain Road remains closed this morning as the emergency services deal with a serious accident.

The incident happened around 7am, but no further details have been released.

Officers say motorists should use another route until further notice.

Meanwhile, Bridge Road in Ballasalla is closed between Mill Road and Cross Four Ways for emergency repairs to a burst water main.

And Bus Vannin says because of heavy traffic on the Douglas to Ramsey coast road its number three bus is being replaced with alternative services.

Passengers will have to get off in Laxey to get on a tram to Dhoon Glen before getting another bus to Ramsey.

What a state it causes when this happens,I believe it puts us older ones off coming accross on our old British machines when the roads close for so many hours.I wish everyone would be more cautious. We just wish to "toddle" around to have a pleasant holiday with our bikes + spouses as pillion riders. It restricts one pleasure time.It certainly costs a lots of dosh these days.God bless those families involved in these tragedies, rest their souls
