Voltcom Crescent Suzuki racers Eugene Laverty and Alex Lowes are looking forward to joining the Motorsport elite at Goodwood’s Festival of Speed next weekend to take part in the famous Hillclimb from Friday 27th - Sunday 29th June.

Running a race-replica Suzuki GSX-R 1000 - available for sale at Crescent Motorcycles - Laverty and Lowes will both take turns at the 1.87km high-speed course, which runs across the Goodwood House and Estate, delivering over 300ft in elevation during its technical and challenging layout. They will also be on hand to meet the fans and support team partner Rossetts Commercials on stands 144/145, located opposite the Goodwood Action Sports arena, during the course of the weekend.

Voltcom Crescent Suzuki’s commercial vehicle partner Rossetts will be displaying a selection of their Mercedes Benz commercial vehicles throughout the four-day event including specialist refrigerator bodies to highlight its partnership with Coolertech, the unique 6x6 Sprinter developed by German specialist Oberaigner - of which Rossetts remain the sole UK distributor - and the Actros tractor cab, similar to the one used to transport the race team across Europe. A Mercedes Antos Curtainside will also be a prime focus of the display not just as an example of transport options from Rossetts, but to showcase a selection of new motorcycles available from Crescent’s three South Coast dealerships.

Voltcom Crescent Suzuki will be present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 27th-29th June, after returning from Misano in Italy for the seventh round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship this weekend. After the British festivities, the team will travel on to Portimao in Portugal and Laguna Seca in California, USA, for the remaining consecutive race weekends ahead of the summer break.

Eugene Laverty:

“This is my fifth consecutive year at Goodwood Festival of Speed! It’s a fantastic event with all the old cars, bikes and heroes of mine from the past so I feel like a fan for the weekend and I always enjoy my visit. It’s nice to be able to meet the fans and support Rossetts too this year, in return for all their support for us so far this season and I’m looking forward to the Hillclimb with the GSX-R1000.”

Alex Lowes:

“I’m really looking forward to Goodwood. Last year was my first experience of the Festival and I thoroughly enjoyed the event so it’s great to be invited back with Voltcom Crescent Suzuki. There is always the opportunity to meet some interesting people and of course to ride the Hillclimb. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can have some fun!”

Perry Reeves – Rossetts Commercials:

“Rossetts are delighted to be attending this year’s Festival of Speed as it is an important event for us to showcase the variety of our business to such a cross-section of the motorsport industry and its enthusiasts. Having both the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki World Superbike riders in attendance to meet the fans as part of our display, alongside the Crescent Motorcycles’ showpiece, provides us the perfect opportunity to underline our partnership with both the race and retail aspects of the Crescent company and I am really looking forward to watching Eugene and Alex climb the hill!”
