No, any damage done should be covered by the comprehensive coverage, unless it is self inflicted with forethought, but if it's an unforeseen accident, should be covered. The problem with any insurance policy you take out is the excess. Even with fully comp, the excess might be £750.00

Right, the excess (which in Holland is called "own risk") is 250,- Euros
which clearly is a figure "one could live with" rather than 750 pounds...
