Phillip McCallen's lid
I own a collection of 30 TT related helmets (all the Arai's limited editions, Nitro, Bell, ...) and I am collecting now the lids of the Senior TT winners from '60: original factory replicas or directly painted by the guys who made the original ones (RichArt for JMG, Ragedesigns for MDunlop and so on).

Well, I wish to replicate now the lid of Phillip McCallen: I bought an Arai Corsair, I tried to contact Phillip with the email at his shop to obtain good pics of the helmet, because I couldn't find on Internet enough. But with no result.

Can any member of the this Forum help me? With a correct email to reach Phil or with photos of the his lid (the Corsair version ) from every side...

Many thanks.

luca keep trying as Phil is a great fella. I wanted him to sign his biography for me and we arranged to meet at that years TT.

Your never going to see it on Ebay either as Phil is one of the great Road Racers and its now a cherished possession.

I saw Phil at the grandstand just after he had interviewed Hutchy about win 4 TT races in a row. I put out my hand and said that I was a great fan, Hutchy held out his, I said sorry Ian I was talking to Phil. Phil just laughed shook my hand and chatted for a few minutes. Fantastic bloke

Have you tried the shop Facebook account?maybe worth a try. I do custom bikes and lids and can sympathize with you, some riders have a million detailed pictures available where as others have a very limited amount.

Hi Ken. Good advice. Thanks a lot.

These are some pics of the best lids of my collection (Senior TT winners and TT limited editions).

Terrific looking collection Luca. The 2013 McPint lid looks like a full custom paint job ? I'm thinking about the same kind of job to create a Hizzy 1994 rep.

Thank you, Ken.
The 2013 McPint lid is the exact replica of his, painted by Richart Steven of RichArt, like the MDunlop's one (painted by Mike Boote of Ragedesigns). The 2 "pudding" are original Cromwell of '60 and the Hailwood's Kangol is the original of 1979 return of Mike the Bike to IOM.
I have also others, not pictured here (Geoff Duke's and Surtees's Cromwell, Fogarty's Lazer,...).
I hope to add the lid of Phillip.
