It's one reason I like the forum Scaramanga. I don't do Facecobblers or Titter.

So who is the big rider / transfer - is it the Gary Johnson news, or are we still waiting for an announcement?

No, it was Gary Johnston.
Great news for Gary, but hardly earth shattering like the hype who had us believe.

Thanks for confirming Mike.......... it's certainly good news, wonder if this will end the Kawasaki drought. Gary for me has been the most overlooked rider in the paddock.

RE: Big rider transfer.
I think with Gary Johnson and James Hillier on the Big Green Machines, they might upset the form next year.
Mind you, if Guy Martin does go on the Tyco BMW, he might/should be in the mix as well.
And not forgetting MD. As Guy Martin said in this weeks MCN ( is that a dirty word on this forum as well ?) Michael could win a TT on a garden gate.
With the old foxes JMcG and Bruce Anstey, and the new guard of Dean Harrison, Ivan Linten etc together with William D, and Connor Cummins, its going to be interesting!

RE: Big rider transfer.
It's all too close to call.......... and yet, as happens every year, someone will surprise us and be in a league of their own in one of the events.
I must say if I had to put money on any of them, it would be either MD or Brookes if he gets the right machinery, both of them have something that on the day seems to put them in a super league all of their own. Brookes given enough time for me would possibly become the King of the Mountain in my humble opinion.

Gary was absolutely flying this year until his off. I think we have a blind spot regarding how fast he is.

MD still the man to beat though. No denying that.

RE: Big rider transfer.
There's no argument that MD is the man to beat but I reckon up until his off Gaz was the man giving him the most trouble.

I've always thought that he'd be top of most teams shopping lists - super professional good results etc - so I'm surprised he hasn't been in a top berth for more of his career.

Fingers crossed he's fully over his 2014 off and does what he's capable of in 2015.

Sam
