This is on the Images of TT replicas on Google not sure how to post a picture! looks like the one for sale. About them all having a round base I have 3 with brown square bases from 2003 & 2004, but they do look better with black round base

This is genuine, I'm almost sure. Certainly the facts of the engraved result are correct.
By coincidence my father (Allan Jefferies) provided Norman Croft with a new AJS 7R after the war, and he was sadly killed on it in Czechoslovakia in 1949.

I love the engraving on the plaque, how you can still see the guide lines the engraver used to do his bit and put on those vital bits of information. Quality  

No machines there just good old hand skills .

How Norman Croft must have cherished this when he won it .

I have a Replica from 1979 with a Square base. Its a Bronze from the F11 Race.

I reckon Ray Knight would still show most TT riders the way round the Mountain Circuit, even though he's probably over 80!!

The MGP finishers medal would appear to be after 1970. Mine from 1968 is silver, hallmarked Birmingham "T" ( 1968 ), didn't finish in '69, and the ones after are not hallmarked. Money saving exercise I assume. Anyone check pre '68 for hallmark? Dogsbody

I have a few MGP finishers medals I look after, two of them are early ones. The first is dated 1947 and is silver hallmarked. The second has for some reason had the date partly etched out, but looks like 1939 also hallmarked silver. The presentation box they are in has a Jewlers name of C Wallace 29 Victoria Street Douglas. If you look closely at them, there are small changes in the design between the two. The later ones I look after are not dated apart from one, 1999 and they are not silver hallmarked, and you can see at least two more designs. Some of the the presentation cas is not marked, some others have Toye Kenning & Spencer LTD who where the people who made at ACU TT badges.

Maybe it's just me but I can't understand why anyone would want a replica that's not their own?.
