The Countdown went well on the other site, so I will give it a go here.  The idea is that when there are only 100 days to go, you post a picture with the number 100 in it and then 99 etc as the days get less.  These photos are mainly bikes with the relevant number on them, but anything bike or TT related will do.  So get sorting those photos out, and it would be great if plenty of you join in. 

Well that was a surprise. I've been away for two weeks and come back to find the old forum is no more.

Thank you Malcolm for accommodating a bunch of refugees from a place, having now seen this, lost in the annals of time when the internet was young. How refreshing to see a nice bright, welcoming and fully functioning I.E. compatible forum, where discussing things not quite TT won't be frowned upon. Heaven knows why we didn't migrate years ago rather than arrive here cap in hand like beggars, I already feel more comfortable here than I have done on the dark side for years. At least we know who the boss is and we'll probably avoid a moderator with a couple of sock puppets just to cheese people off on a whim.

A quick "hello" to everyone on TTwebsite.com and a big thank-you to Malcolm for welcoming myself and all the other refugees from "that other TT site". Luckily I've managed to retain my "Smudger's Lodger" forum ID, which is a nod to the Smiths, who very generously accommodate us for our annual pilgrimage.

Looking forward to some healthy banter and info exchange.

I see that the TT Course Knowledge thread with All of Silja's brilliant work has disappeared along with the rest of the Forum.  Does anyone know if it can be reinstated?  Even this, contributed to by so many TT fans has been sacrificed on the altar of the new corporate image.  What happened to the preservation of the forum Paul?  

If you go to the old site and click on 'TT 2015' the old forum is at the bottom of the menu.  It's read only now so nothing new can be added.

Don't click at TT 2015, just put you cursor over that headline to see a drop list. Then you click Forum Archive in the bottom of the list.

Maybe the "TT course knowledge" will show up here about the end of January. I'm cooperating with Malcolm to see if it fits here. But before that I'll make a rather huge update. That's why it will take some time. The prognos at the moment is that it will be here quite soon!

Does anyone know if JM130 made it over to this forum?  It would be nice to be privy to his occasional bits of wisdom!

At the old site there are 62.420 members. I wonder how to terminate an account when there is no way to log in?

I am not sure you can , but for my peace of mind I logged in and went into Edit my details and then removed them and replaced them with junk seems to have worked ?

Hi all, spent a few months away from the other forum due to lots of work trying to launch one of my many hobbies into a bit of a buisiness, next time I looked it was gone lol .... thankfully I have made it over here now (Thanks Malcome) .... so Hello again all that know me or of me :-)

Thanks for the quick authorisation Malcolm. Whilst not being a 'prolific' poster in my previous life on the other side, I do enjoy the information and banter from like minded people and am impressed by what I have seen so far here. I recognise a lot of names and feel at home already. Best wishes to you all, hope we all have a great 2015.
