I thought Guy came across very well on this program, explaining why he shuns the limelight, and why he feels he owes nobody anything. Top bloke.
The thought of him chasing a Merlin engine in full flight across the workshop, destroying everything in it's path, did make me chuckle, and sums him up perfectly.

RE: Guy Martin's Passion for Life.
I watched the programme this morning and enjoyed it. He was quite clear on the importance of passions.

What intrigued me was his t-shirt in 1 of the passions: the logo was 'The Farmer's Daughter' - wasn't that how he referred to his ex-girlfriend that he used to live with?
.
Everything will be alright in the end. And if it's not alright, it's not yet the end.

Thought that was his current bird ??  as that's how he's always referred to her.

Gotta admire his television appeal to the masses but don't know how the hell he can concentrate on racing / trying to win at the TT when he his hounded around the paddock by autograph hunters and photo selfie takers.

Is this turning the top riders into the same as top paid footy stars ? will it eventually ruin the TT as we know it ??

What do you guys ( pardon the pun ) think ?

RE: Guy Martin's Passion for Life.
If you read his autobiography it will explain my comment Boltonswanderer.

I don't know that it will ruin TT but it will change it. It's subjective and we all look for something slightly different in our experiences. Not all footballers are prima donnas - which I can safely say as a Norwich City season ticket holder (lol) - and neither are all top TT riders.

Guy is one of those people who has to be busy and enjoys participating in new experiences. He is also a marmite person as I know some people who have tried to watch his programmes because the subject matter - e.g. the spitfire - has interested them but they couldn't cope with Guy's repetition, umms, errs and other stock phrases that we accept as being an intricate part of him.

Others liken him to Fred Dibnah.
.
Everything will be alright in the end. And if it's not alright, it's not yet the end.
