Lets be fair here. There are tankslappers and there are TANKSLAPPERS. Some are escapable some are not.
In my days of clip-ons and big fibreglass tanks a tankslapper didn't cause the bars to hit the stops.. your hands/thumbs were the stops. ouch..
Maybe coz the clips-on's were angled close to the tank it restricted the "wobble"...
However in my youth, maybe coz bikes were less powerful, rule of thumb was don't brake, accelerate.. Assuming the road was straight Smile
