Yes I noticed that but I wonder if it was a mis-print? Todays email definitely says 90 and I don't see why they would cut numbers when there's so much interest.

The MMCC will nominate 10 reserves, who will replace non-starters based on the order of qualification times. The reserves will be notified as soon as possible whether they will have an opportunity to race''.

As I mentioned earlier there were 90 starters last year !

It will be the track licence and insurance, there is a formular for working out how many starters they are allowed based on how long the lap is and the speed they are likely to lap at.
