I've been told that it's 39,9 metres between the starting line and the speed trap at the Grandstand. Looking at the livetiming it shows that a 600cc is equal with the TT-Zero bikes on that distance with a standing start. About 60 km/t speed in these 40 metres! Amazing!
Don't be that optimistic! The light in the tunnel can be a train.
The distance is now corrected to 30,9 metres. That means an acceleration of 4,46 m/s/s or a feeling like standing up leaning 24,6 ° in an angel backwords!

Actually the acceleration is even better than a large number of Superstock and Superbikes. I checked the acceleration speeds of these at the Grandstand speed trap and our speeds off the start of over 37mph were quicker than (among many others) MD's BMW in Superstock, and in fact Bruce was faster off the line on his Mugen Shinden than he was in the Senior!
