A dry and bright start to the day tomorrow but cloud will increase again during the morning with outbreaks of mostly light rain developing late morning and through the afternoon. Winds light from the south turning to the east or northeast, temperatures up to 17C.

There will be some heavy rain later tomorrow evening and tomorrow night, a strengthening east wind as well, the rain will clear early Sunday morning with just a few showers possible later in the day. Winds fresh to strong from the east or southeast through the day on Sunday, temperatures up to 21C.

First practice session called off

Roads will remain open

It's officially the first day of this year's Festival of Motorcycling - but the weather is causing problems already.

Tonight's (Sat) first practice session for the newcomers has been called of due to the poor weather forecast.

Roads around the course will remain open this evening.

Clerk of the Course Phil Taubman says the newcomers will now be first out on Monday evening
