Ok on looking around he was a DNF that year? next question, What happened?

Picture was taken on the Braddan Straight during his winning ride in the 1952 Junior Manx GP. He also raced the same machine in the Senior, finishing second.

At that stage in his career, John, that was all he had!!

According to reports, he changed from a 500 Norton to the 7R, I can't put my hands on the appropriate TT special to see if he gives a reason.
