I think it is difficult to make comparisons when there are so many variables i different eras. We won't forget that we lost two guys, and another left with a fight on his hands as a result of vey questionable circumstances.
There is no doubt that it was gripping, fast and furious. Taken to another level.
Edge of the seat racing for the majority of the races this year. My first TT was a day trip in 1967 & consisted of watching the Mass Start 50cc bikes coming down Bray Hill then walking back up to the Start / Finish area & seeing the great S.M.B.Hailwood win the Senior. Many years & memories both good & sad over many years since then, quite amazing the buzz I still feel after all these years ! My last TT visit was 2007, & apart from the 2013 Classic Manx circumstances have meant I now rely on the internet. Thank goodness for Manx Radio & the Live App. & also thanks' to Malcolm for his reports & write ups.
Grey-haired riders don't get that way from pure luck.
Great weather and stellar racing...it doesn't get any better. I managed 900 miles in a week.... Watched last night of practice from top of bray hill, Saturday at Glen Helen 1, Monday at hailwood heights, wednesday at Glen duff council yard and the senior back up at hailwood heights..
Even got frazzled in the evening sun down at billown on Saturday.... It doesn't get any better than this year.
