First shot is a 250 TD2 Yamaha, last shot is a 250 Greeves Silverstone, not sure on middle shot.

1 & 3 look like they may have been taken just before Ginger Hall.  2 is from Creg Ny Baa and is a 125.  Looks like an expansion chamber coming out from the fairing, so a 2 stroke - maybe a BSA Bantam.  No idea on any of the riders though.  Needs someone with a programme!  They helmet design on 1 looks a bit like Gyula Marsovsky but I would have thought he'd have a higher start number.

Great info thanks so much. back in the '80's I had a chance to pick up a running but slightly tatty Greeves Silverstone for 600 quid and passed it up, to my everlasting regret.
I will post another Quarterbridge slide with mystery rider and bike in a separate post... regards

Pic 3 may be P E Platt (Peter was it?) who is the only rider I can see featured in the results of the 1970 250 TT who was riding a Greeves.

Pic 2 looks like a 2 stroke single.  There were 4 Maicos in the results - we already know this isn't Borje Jansson and it certainly isn't Tommy Robb.  The other two riders on that brand were Harold Cosgrove and C Ward, so maybe one of them?

Pic 1 - Not a clue!  It isn't Marsovsky as he wasn't in the race.

All the pictures are sorted out! They are from 1970.

Number 98 is Peter Aitken (maybe from South Africa) on a 250 Yamaha.
Number 53 is Don Ryder on a 125 Bultaco.
Number 70 is Peter Platt on a Greeves 250.

All according to the official program and result lists from 1970.
Don't be that optimistic! The light in the tunnel can be a train. Sad

Silja....you're very good!

Don Ryder, who incidentally is the owner of Darley Moor, was for many years the A.C.U Chairman.
Nice bloke.
