Re: Message for Gail.
I have not met Eric, and right now certainly don't want to be in the same room as him, but I have to say that there have been times when he OH...NO RAV+Chas mailed me directly, and been supportive and kind.
However, as you say, on this board he is abusive and offensive.
Either his lemonades are spiked at the snooker club (Eric says he doesn't drink) or he fails to realise the effect of his "irony"...unlikely given the reaction.
What puzzles me is his alleged love of racing, as he hasn't a good word for riders. Maybe he thinks we should have racing without them...maybe he's not the only one....
Hmmm....more time for long lunches....no silly accidents to upset Eric at Ramsey...no closed roads....
Personally, I think he confuses RAVING with racing. Anyway, he's not funny.

Re: Message for Gail.
Misanthropic, illiterate, sad, unkind, impetuous,
ill-informed, troubled, hurtful, negative, dogmatic,
thoughtless, wrong, confused and unintelligent Eric may be, but funny never.
If he has any redeeming qualities then he certainly keeps them
well hidden under that massive chip he has on his shoulder.

Reply to Harvey
Well all I'm saying is nobody should slag anyone
off if they don't know that person and yes it
does included Eric !
He has said some uncalled for things about us racing on the TT course but in the end he put
his money where his mouth is, and I know this
will not make it ok for the things he says on this
board but thats Eric.
He doesn't always say rubbish, some of the things
are true and sometimes not very well worded which
come across a bit wrong, and other bits a bit
uncalled for but I suppose everyone can have their
opinions and not everyone likes what they read !

Re: Message for Eric
Well i hope that jim and john do get a chance in person, to reply to the postings that eric has put up in the past, and no doubt will continue to do in the future. Does he think that these people have hearts of stone or that there family are not affected by some of the total .... that he has posted.Which has also had a personal affect on many others who are involved in roadracing too. Wether he agrees with Jim`s views or not he should have the guts to discuss his issues face to face rather than hide behind a computer key board.Jims a hard man yes, but he is very passionate and articulate when discussing his sport.I`m not asking him to agree or even disagree with him but I would bet a pound to a penny that even eric would find it difficult not to agree with some of the points that will be raised.
cheers,
Stella
