Smile  Steam Packet options for TT 2020 bookings
As expected, I have just received an email from the Isle of Man Steam Packet regarding options for my TT 2020 sailings

The 3 options were:

Keep current booking
Transfer booking to next years TT
Get a full refund

All booked for 2021 - only 396 days to go🙂

And on the bright side, I won't have the hassle of booking on the 25th May 2020 for my May 2021 sailings!

Plus, no fare increase (every cloud etc.)

Hussah!
Yes, after contacting the other members of our party we have successfully transferred to next year, it's a day earlier too!!!
Sat 4th June, instead of Sat 5th June,
return boat is a half hour earlier too.
Strange that the first option is -
I would like to keep my booking as it is, in the hope that current travel restrictions to/from the island are relaxed.
So folks, make sure you click the right option & we'll see you at the TT.
Maybe sooner!!

P.S. I've also just noticed the boat (Mannannannannannannannan) is scheduled to get to Douglas a half hour earlier, sets off the same time.

I suppose they have to offer option 1 (keep existing sailings) for travellers who still wants to be on/off the island for whatever reason - although, I'm not sure the current travel restrictions allow for it

Yes, that's the surprising thing, according to the government today, re opening the borders is the last part of their 6 part plan!

I had to copy and paste the link too. Almost got caught out as I tried to scroll down the page as it shifted my selection to full refund option! Thank crunchie I noticed before clicking submit! One to look out for if you're as useless with computers as me. Less than 400 hundred to go!! I'm hoping the MGP/Classic is allowed to go this year, waiting to see what their plans are before booking what will be my maiden trip to this event. I'm sure I read that the powers that be will be making an announcement at the start of next month. Fingers crossed!

I've just changed it to 2021 though I hate to be the party pooper but I wouldn't be surprised if we're still in this situation next year, this isn't going away over a couple of months, experts are already predicting a second wave in the winter.
