Congratulations John. This is thoroughly deserved. He has retained his dignity throughout difficult recent times.
Even taking away the odd "soft" electric win, John has still ridden in some fantastic races, and he has brought TT racing to the attention of the wider public. I am very pleased for him.
WELL DONE JOHN, YOU DESERVE THE MBE. YOU ARE A TRUE GENTLEMAN, AND A GREAT AMBASSADOR FOR THE SPORT OF ROAD RACING. GOOD LUCK TO YOU FOR 2021 FOR WHATEVER YOU DECIDE TO DO.
After all this time, well deserved and brilliant news.
Far more deserved than a knighthood for being in the privileged position of piloting the fastest car around comparatively easy circuits for a few years in my view. George Russell showed that as a relative rookie where, with a tiny bit more luck, he could have won his maiden grand prix in the merc!

I'm not a fan of the 'Honours System' but I'm more than happy to see John McGuinness recognised for his fantastic achievements both on and off the bikes. It will be great to see him out at TT2022 and I reckon that on the right machine on the right day he has every chance of being on, or even on top of, the podium.
Richly deserved John and not before time. Incidentally, I also agree with Chris_Sav ref George Russell. I do think the Mercedes team bungled the pit stop on purpose!!
