If it's on the course somewhere in the hedge looking west between Kirk Michael, Orrisdale and Alpine where it's flat and fields drop down to beach/coastline - or the old railway line path that runs through there to Ramsey ?
ahha .. not on course would negate most of over the top apart from very top Snaefell ?, struggling a bit - maybe the Brandywell / Sartfell rd that runs down / splits off to Cronk y Voddy and top of Barregarrow ? .... or Jurby / Smeale(good beach fishing to be had up there) ...... ......... blunderbuss put down ... and scattergun picked up hehe

I'm going to give you that. It's a few hundred yards past the Niarbyl turn off just going up the hill out of Dalby. I'm assuming that's the Mountains of Mourne in the distance.
The Isle of Man is rightly famous for the Mountain Course races (and the S100). Strangely though it's not so famous for its natural beauty which it has in spades. My introduction to the Island's beauty was reinforced by twice taking part in the IoM Scooter Rally back in the 70's which included enduros of 100 and 200 miles in length. Those enduros included a lot of off and on-road work and one of those routes took us around the Niarbyl area. It is a stunning place, particularly at sunset on a clear day.
This thread is ace, once again many thanks Sticky.
Cheers guys. I was heading to Port Erin to get some sunset shots and I saw this almost pastel scene and had to stop and grab a shot. It says 9.21pm on the EXIF data but could be out by a few mins... This seems to have been well received so I think I'll have a look for some more Island scenes - I may have to crop into some detail to try and confuse you
Back to the bikes - who do we have here and where?
I must be tired cos I kinda recognise this part of the course but then again I'm not sure.
Initially thought exiting Ramsey hairpin heading towards waterworks but then could it be the exit of the left hander of Glen Helen heading to Sarahs cottage.
However, if it was taken before the prohibited areas came in, then maybe the right hander after ballaspur
It's the amount of black lines that's confusing me..
Either way, I'm off to bed..😄
