Tony Jefferies - R.I.P.

News has reched me this afternoon, that Tony Jefferies, (73), father of DJ has passed away.

Tony won the 1971 Isle of Man TT 350cc Junior TT.

He won two more times at the TT in the 750cc Production class in 1971 &  1973.



On behalf of all members of TTwebsite, I take this opportunity to extend our sincerest condolences the the family and all close friends of Tony.

Sad news indeed. Like many others on the forum, I too enjoyed watching him race.
We`ll never forget.
Thinking of family and friends at this time.

Tony Jefferies was a true class act, a real chip off the Jefferies block and a true TT great. I particularly remember his brilliant 1971 Junior TT win on a Yamsel. That was in the days when racing on the TT Course ahead wet or dry and that particular race was run in pretty grim conditions.

Didn`t they re-run the race , Gordon Pantell was leading the first race when they stopped it?

RIP Tony. was at the Stafford Show a number of years back when he and his brother Nick were being interviewed got to say very entertaining especially when Nick let Tony get a word in LOL.
