Well, it's actually a catamaran, both ways!
 is a catamaran a ship? I don't know! Icon_biggrin

I must say, that's the easiest I've ever booked since it went online (apart from when they released the sailings a day earlier!)
Now I'm worried in case I've booked the wrong times, or the wrong directions!  Icon_frown Icon_lol

I’ve finally got through on the phone, now on hold! I dread this every year, but worth it in the end.

RE: TT 2023 Booked!
I went to the terminal last week to make some changes to this years tickets & the chap there said that without a doubt the new "ship" would be in use by TT 2023.
So, there could be loads of spaces!
I wouldn't bet my mortgage on it tho'!

Done and dusted. 2 and half hours on the phone and it's all sorted. Out Friday afternoon of practice week, back on Sunday the 11th, in the morning. Just the ferries i wanted. Stressful.... But worth it!

Spart, I'd get on the phone and get in the queue, if your payment goes through whilst you're waiting, hang up, if you get through and sorted, bin the website. Website is a nightmare, i try it ever year and never get any sense out of it

Thanks H2pots.
Did what you said and luckily got the sailings I needed on the phone.
The Steam Packet really made me sweat this year.
See you all the Friday of practice week.

RE: TT 2023 Booked!
Booking online at 08:27 (I have a motorhome, so has to be from Heysham)
I got to select my outgoing, I could not get the return sailing (fully booked) but when I tried for a different date, their system went down!

From then, it took me 90 minutes to get booked, didn't get exact sailings:
Wanted overnight to arrive Sunday 28th May - which I got - however I  couldn't get a return in the evening on Sunday 11th, earliest I  can get a ferry back is Tuesday 13th June (so 16 nights instead of 14)

Never mind,  I'll try to change it over the next 53 weeks!

Gonna be on the new ferry 'the Manxman' according to my ticket....

RE: TT 2023 Booked!
So...it went like this:  I turned up at work early so I could hopefully get through on the phone or t'interweb before I had to start.  After 90 mins of engaged tones, site crashes and industrial language, a colleague who had got the Steam Racket site up too says "I'm in!"  I go through all the motions and it needs a security screen doing and I have to request an OTP code.  Problem...I use a cheap burner phone that doesn't get a signal in the area where I work, so I drive 800 yards to the top of the hill where there's a signal.  I ring colleague, pass on code and...it's expired.  We do it again...in the time it takes for the phone call it's expired again.

Panic is setting in by now, so I go outside, stand on a wall and hold my arm in the air.  A message pings in - dash inside, enter code and...it's booked.  So all sorted but surely there has to be a way that doesn't involve so much stress?

RE: TT 2023 Booked!
I remember the days of popping down to the terminal during TT week to book the year after, simple days.

Hey ho, all done now. Roll on next Friday.... Sailing from heysham at dinner time. Hopefully catch a bit of practice in the afternoon before heading down to digs in port st mary.

Buzzing now.... Roll on.... Will be glued to the radio next week listening to the practice, it's a great build up.

Have a great TT all!
