TT race course ready for 2022
All resurfacing work has been completed and patching work, all repainted white and yellow lines all been completed and all TT signage been put up and all wall protection is in place.

So the TT race course is ready for 2022.

Shame there isn't a new scoreboard using screens!.

Been wondering about those "electronic flags" , does this mean they won't need as many marshals?

Hi Captain, same amount of marshals needed for the TT, the electronic red flags is so it can be controlled from the grandstand additional safety measures, and Marshals will also use there flags around the TT course.

Thanks Manxman78, just me being a little cynical! There always seems to be a callout for marshals for first practice (usually) & I wondered whether this was a contributing factor to the decision to go electronic.
I can see the safety aspect of them, presumably they're controlled in a foolproof fashion, not by wifi/bluetooth signal jiggerypokery or somesuch thing!
It should also do away with the "i thought i saw a red flag waving" thing that has happened in the past.

At the IMC at Rugby recently i'm sure Neil said there had to be more marshals now for every session - sure he said 600, as M78 says the electronic red flag screen things are only controlled by race control office.

There are 33 electronic Red flag screens around the course which run along side the Marshals red flags.

The digital red flag screens will be controlled from the grandstand race control, they are being tested tomorrow morning, It's a Digital red flag system.
