RE: TT+ NOW LIVE TO SUBSCRIBE
(edit) sorry about previous post, I thought I was on my car forum where pics & meme's are highly encourage. Malcom could you delete?
RING RING! Hello Beeb, can we hire your crew and Heli?
I watched Day 1 practice (it was terrible) as a replay which was offered free yesterday, supposedly only the live feed was PPV. I recorded day 1 session but now when I try to view anything for 2022 it leads to a Buy button then to PayPal with no indication of cost until (I guess) you get to PP checkout, very poor tactic. Someone leaked on the net that there was the free watch, maybe a setup bug as now all you can watch is the TT Rewind from previous years. Signing up was a REAL PITA. Sadly we have all been through this before in 2009 with the TT Live Subscription, but alas it was only £5 then. I still can't get into the Live Timing even with my 2012 login (which works in the store) and was a successful log in in 2018 (last used).
I wish them well... the Rewind stuff I watched was of good streaming quality but too promise something and choke live is unacceptable whether it costs £1 or is free.
We are living in a 4k 60fps 360 world now folks.
I just watched the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring 2022 on YouTube @1080p. Several hours commentator program, pitlane cam, and about a dozen in car cams and the GPS tracking was unbelievable. I got tired of the announcers babbling and went to the Merc in car cam (SWEET!) then when I went to view the commentator programming again it came back 'Not Available in Your Country' but pit lane cam was *LIVE* active and all remaining in car cams that were running were active, screwy, do I fire up the VPN? Naaa, so I just watched the rest of the race via the in car. Good battle at the end. Mab'be TT needs to call (gasp) The Germans. <ducks>

Live pass video quality is first class now RR $24.99 in US according to someone that I gave the link to. I prefer the radio commentary, unfortunately it can´t be synced, it makes little difference though after a few minutes. Live timing is here, but a different system which sadly isn´t as good nor user friendly as the old system.

Hi Cap'in, naa that link to the live timing is the one I am having problems with, the help section says something about if you try to log in with a email address to check your email for a link email. Nothing nada butkiss, maybe I should try it when the practice is going on but way to many hoops & hurdles just to see live timing. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot with this promotion, like I said a lot of other racing venues are using the Tube to promote their races, over the long run the Tube will provide much more revenue than any inhouse service. Where is MR+ Manx Radio Plus today?
Prices are starting to escalate here in the USA for this senior living on a pensioners payment Cap'in, I'll just stick with the old tried & true way of TT coverage I've developed over the years, eventually I'll get the iTV coverage and of course I'll wait for *QUALITY* content from the Cap'in! You going to Gorse Lea this year?
Oh yea, a lot of people are bemoaning the loss of the commentator points around the course especially the lack of Roy Moore at Ramsey. We'll see how this works out.
Cheers

RE: TT+ NOW LIVE TO SUBSCRIBE
Finally got to get into the live timing (which is rubbish but later on that).
First login problem, why do they make it so hard, I have 100's of site logins never ever have I seen something like this.
OK that showed, so we figured out this:
Why have what looks like a normal log in panel labeled Email that doesn't work, you have click the Login with email button just to enter your email to have a email sent with a link to access Live Timing. Why make it so hard? Is this some sort of get around for having a Captiva puzzle?
Once into Live Timing I find that Friday (today) is listed wrong:
(alright I don't know if anymore pictures will work, may have to do another post).

RE: TT+ NOW LIVE TO SUBSCRIBE
So go back to the QUALIFYING 6 day which was Thursday and since there is no date on it I'm confused as too if this is the right day and I'm going to see the correct timings or a replay (archive).
So I wait.... Some times are starting to appear, click around and check out the different tab sorting, it is very laggy with a blank white screen and the little spinny dot thing. Times appear to correlate with the radio broadcast, and oh BTW the whole setup is designed for (I guess) a Tablet and I have to reduce my browser down to 50/75% to see more than 1/2 dozen riders. I'm not on a touch screen, and not a finger flicker, I have a very large HDMI monitor and I can't stand the 'Endless Scroll', it is so much easier & faster to shift your eye focus than to scroll. I didn't even try and concentrate on split times, someone on FB already complained about that as to why it wasn't like F1 only to be answered with "It's simple math".
So all said and done for the bikes I get ready for the sidecars, but there is no sidecar in the class pull down menu (laggy too). Finally after the chairs pass out of the first sector I get the pull down menu and times start to appear.... Then the RED FLAG... poof everything is gone for the whole day!
I can't even check previous session times (go back) as that is showing the red flag banner also.
I can't believe they get people to like this, maybe it works in the App on a phone or tablet but on a computer it is total rubbish.
