Was listening to the TT Podcast the other day and James Hillier confirmed that he was doing the Dakar in January.

Other information a bit thin on the ground as far as my limited googling has found.  Hopefully he has a decent run.  I love the Dakar and have followed it for years but as far as I can tell finishing is a bit of a lottery.

Seems to be doing OK , round about 2/3 in the standings after 2 stages. Todays 3rd stage just been cancelled while in progress due to unsafe weather conditions with James still doing well.

Got a finish - apparently nursing a dislocated collar bone for much of the race - a huge achievement.

Good lad.

Well done James - 76 o/a and 13th in Class and all without outside assistance. Hero.
