There are funds that need to be raised for the plaque (£100) and forum hosting charges (approx £150 per year) Alfie and I will act as joint auditors on this. I'll use an old unused account of mine for the time being and email statements to Alfie for financial summaries to be checked and posted. I would suggest £10 from members who wish to donate to get the fund started.
If anyone wants to make a donation then please PM me and I'll let you have sort code and account number.

BRILLIANT: Plaque £100, hosting £94.95 (paid 22/08) and domain name £22 are now funded thanks.
Thanks to all who have donated and to those who had also made offers so I know we are safe.
That will take us through to next March and give me time to find out what the new owner plans for the forum and Malcolm's news site the forum hangs from.

Many thanks everyone the crisis is over and funding until next March secured.
Hosting paid as attached and I have seen the donation made to the hospice on behalf of the memorial. The domain name will be paid as soon as I receive the invoice. Everybody who has made a donation should see it acknowledged in the first post, post publicly if anything is missing by all means, as we need to remain fully accountable.
I'll take it easier for a few days so as not to strain my eye which is recovering well and then try and get the new owner to indicate his intentions. There are also software difficulties to overcome as it is a very long time since either the forum software or Malcolm's news site software were updated. There is a risk of going out of support in the not too distant future. Attempting to update the software has failed thus far by both myself and the 'experts'.
The hosting was actually due for renewal last march so thanks to YNH Ltd for not pulling the plug for four months and then only as they could not make contact. All admin is now fully understood and properly set up. Just as well I could not go to the Manx!!
In about a month I hope to instigate discussion with financial options on the future.
Thanks Sam, but it's all the members on this forum who are the diamonds. Seems hard to appreciate Malcolm was on the verge of closing it eight years ago due to trolls.
What a team we have thrown together by a love of road racing!!
Thanks again Chris,
Sorry I am a bit hit & miss at the mo',
a lot going on family wise & then there's the matter of 2 visits to the Isle of man in a week!!
