Sarah's Cottage
Hi. Can anyone recommend Sarah's Cottage as a viewing spot?

We're thinking of placing ourselves there on Sunday 2nd.

It's the day of the parade lap, so just wondering if anyone knows what time that will be going off?

Wouldn't want to miss a vantage point by waiting until the parade lap finishes........

Any info is greatly appreciated, as always....

Cheers

Sarah's cottage is a good spot, there's toilets and catering.... Although the hot dogs leave a lot to be desired 😬

There's parking round the back too. Seating is provided as long as you get there early enough.

You're trapped once there though.

It's a good spot. The guy that owns Sarah puts on food and tea at very good prices. You need to be there 2 hours before road closed to get a good seat. But you can stand behind the seats if you get there a bit later. He asks for a donation which is more then reasonable.
Also he has refused to let the corporate bregaid take over the spot for themselves no doubt doing him self out a good pay day. All round good guy.

Thanks for the replies - much appreciated.

I think we'd best get there before the parade lap goes by, going off what's been said.

Better to be early and get a good seat!!

Does anyone know what time the parade lap leaves the grandstand, by the way?

If that's the case then it's roads closed 9:30 and racing in the afternoon, sunday's an official race day now.

If op is going to Sarah's, he'll need to be there early doors, people will be arriving around 7am.... They get there early.

As i said, it's a great spot, get sat on the wallside and you get a good view on the run up from Glen Helen, through sarahs and the start of cronk willys.

I watched the first s/sports and outfits there last year, chairs were something to see, the top teams proper attacked the corner, sideways and on the pipe.

Do you think road closes at 09.30 and does not reopen until late afternoon? Considering this schedule for Sunday:

12:30 - Roads Close

13:30 - Solo Warm Up (1 lap)

14:40 - RST Superbike TT Race (6 laps)

That schedule looks accurate. Are we mixing up a parade lap and the legacy lap. If it's the legacy lap then it's done on open roads.

I suspect it's going to be the legacy lap then (as you posted) roads close at 12:30.

If everything is on schedule on Sunday it's Roads Closed 12:30, Warm-up Lap 13:30 with Superbike Race 14:40........seconding that I think Legacy Lap is 10am, it has been 9:30 in the past and that the keen early bird regulars are at their specs 7am or earlier - can hear the buzz and noise picking up well before 7am from sister's house in Braddan - lovely.

RE: Sarah's Cottage
Apologies for any confusion - I was referring to the start time of the "legacy" lap from the Grandstand.

Sounds like we'll have to get moving pretty early if we want a front row seat at Sarah's then.

Pretty sure the early start will be be worth it!!!

Thanks again for all the info.....you're a very helpful bunch!!!
