Thought I'd start a thread about the weather, it's the greatest British subject ha ha.

Early days though, it can improve. We'll still be ok but we might be having evenings in the hedgerows instead of afternoons.

I've learnt to expect a dodgy year after a good one, 18 was great too, 19 was the worst since I've been going over, think they ended up having to run 5 shortened races in one day. 17 was dodgy after a decent 16 too, think we lost a supersport race that year.

I'd expect more of the same with the expanded program we now have, hopefully the weather gets better though.

Mannanan stuck in harbour today.  Going to be some unhappy punters including one of my buddies.

Today's sailing from Liverpool have been canceled. I work next to docks and it's blowing a gale today. Not a day you want to be crossing that's for sure .
It will be interesting to see how the new format works if we have a couple of days of bad weather.

the boat over Tuesday evening was positively lovely calm sunny with a fab sunset coming into Douglas leading me/us into a false dawn of rain, hoolie wind and that grey cold dampness which very much resembles IoM November onwards.....like you guys have mentioned I also have an awful feeling the weather isn't going to get much better.....hoping we're wrong but not convinced right now...

Hmmm.... Methinks I might pack some Woolies as well at my T shirts and pulling pants!

Fingers crossed they get a decent amount in on practice week, always a problem if practice week rolls into race week.

I'm not confidant at the minute. Next week looks dodgy, puts the pressure on to get the suitable practice and qualifying in.

I too recall 2019, the Thursday race day, two lappers, everything condensed into one day. Not great that, hopefully that doesn't get a repeat.

It looks very typically changeable but the constant is the mid-teens temp which with the usual breeze makes it nadgery narky chilly being outside...

I believe the wind has done some damage to the paddock . Its on face book I'm told

Yes capt, and it's also better conditions.... We'll go with the most optimistic forecast

I forgot to pack my mankini, so I suppose I'll just have to go 'au naturel'.  (Apologies to anyone trying to eat at this time for the image that just flashed into your heads - the reality is worse than you can imaginenthough... )

Weather still looking fine for race-week? According to my "Dutch" source it looks pretty good.
