RE: Not again
I too have had it, 3 positive tests, always do a 'best of 3' testing regime, in case of faulty tests.
I made the mistake of enquiring if it was as common as 2022 on a TT Facecloth page, to be subjected to much ridicule & questions about my masculinity!!!
I only asked if anyone else had it, for Gods sake!
Any way a few people concurred.
I started on the Wednesday night, after arriving the previous Friday, with ultra cold feet (??) , then, next morning, cold symptoms, but I dismissed it.
It wasn't 'til the day I got back, Sunday just gone, as I was unpacking, I suddenly became really ill, went to bed & tested positive.
A total re-run of 2022!
A few of our party have had cold like symptoms, but tested negative, so, thus far, it's only me.
After having 2 negative tests it's back to just having irritating coughs, sneezes & nose running now.

RE: Not again
Covid is still around and something we have to live with now, it's not going away.

I've had no symptoms from this TT, I tested positive after the manx last year when i landed home, no illness, just lost sense of smell and a snotty nose.

The Mrs has come back poorly and a few of our party have. They haven't done tests as there nothing to be gained in testing. The out come is the same cold flu or COVID time off work without pay. I guess if t just one more bug we have to cope with.

There was an uptick here just before practice week. A Robbie Williams gig in Manchester by all accounts. Swiftly followed by TT was almost guaranteed to spread it.

Me too. I got back Saturday and a stinking cold or covid started Monday. No point in testing for covid.

My circumstances are slightly different, I tested because I was due to visit my 94 year old mum & didn't want her to catch it.

I'm also isolating so as not to infect others....

Well done Nasher. That is the correct thing to do under the circumstances.

Same here, my parents are 87 & infirm & Daughter in Law is still suffering from the after effects of Chemo.
Bizarrely parents have been in touch today to say they're both in bed with bad colds...
& I never even went round to see them anyway, so it's not my fault!

RE: Not again
I've come back with a sore throat and runny nose, negative for covid though, quite a few people seemed to be coughing their guts up on the boat back too. I could also swear I heard on the radio that "man-flu" was going around the paddock as well.
