It's in 1886 not Jacks, a welcome change for me bringing a bit of basic value.

I was thinking that Alfie, a bit of competition may not be a bad idea!

The curious people wielding their social media pitchforks who view any change on the IoM as some sort of black magic voodoo do make me laugh, there's hordes of em convinced it'll be the end of all the other cafes in town, wouldn't mind but they probably never visit the other cafes.

Had breakfast in spoons yesterday not bad if you like incinerated bacon so well done that the edges had turned to carbon and potatoes ASH browns a few beans very few beans.
Egg was cooked to perfection?
I will not be bothering with them again in IOM or anywhere else.

There's a food menu online, but not a drinks menu, looks like prices differ by 75p to a couple of pounds more per item, than across,
it can be found here -
https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/wp-content...U_7923.pdf

I have to admit I've not been in a Wetherspoons for years & years!

£7.43 for a full breakfast with free coffee refills sounds like a bargain to me

I'm trying not to cry, as I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease last year and can't eat anything on their menu! A full breakfast, cooked by someone else, is one of the things I miss the most

Still, there are many worse off than me and I have a fridge and freezer in my motorcycle carrying motorhome to ensure I have nice(ish!) food

Back on Mona's Isle for 2 weeks, in less than 4 weeks time

I've been going since 1976 and still get excited about the TT, MGP & Classic TT - Bring it on!

£7 buys you excrement poncey coffee and not much else at Costa / Starbucks.....and not much more at McD's ..... I don't see the problem with Spoons - it's a known number before you make the choice to walk into the place.

Keep at it Nasher - proper job right there young man :0)

bet its absolutly rammed over TT.

We always struggle to find something in or around Douglas thats sit down and not burgers, so will be giving this a try.

I've had a 'dry' run using their app in our local spoons and it works well, so good luck to them.

RE: Spoons in Douglas.
Having checked the menu on their app there is no traditional ale.
Rather spoiled it for me now.
Probably go The Albert or elsewhere for a pint of trad.
