The Joey Dunlop Foundation are pleased to announce that 7 times world sidecar champion Rolf Biland will be returning to the Isle of Man next month to attend the annual JDF dinner which takes place at The Masonic Hall, Douglas on 20th November 2010.
Many people will remember Rolf when he made his TT debut in 1977 when he finished in second place behind MacHobson, Rolf was also famous for his engineering skills which radically changed the sidecar world championships in the early 1980’s.
Our longstanding supporter and current TT and S100 champion, Klaus Klaffenbock will be in attendance as will Irish Road Race Star Ryan Farquar, the committee also expect many of the islands new roadracing residents to be in attendance.
Kevin Quirk, Chairman of the charity said ‘It is always a pleasure to welcome Klaffi back to the island and could not believe when he asked if he could bring his close friend Rolf Biland to the island, we are open for business at Braddan Bridge House and after 10 years of hardwork we need to have a night of celebration and fun’.
This years dinner has a different slant as moneys raised will assist with travel costs, as many special needs schools wish to block book Braddan Bridge House, however many of these schools have tight budgets so any assistance from JDf or any if any of or supporters or local businesses would like to sponsor a trip to the island then please contact
kevinquirk@hotmail.com for more details.
Tickets for the dinner cost £25.00 and can be purchased from our event co ordinator
