Ready for the Grand Final of the World in Albacete, Spain, during the UEM Final on 23rd and 24th October.

The new generation of racing motorcycling is on track to assign the title of World Champion TTXGP 2010.

After racing in America, UK and Europe the best teams of TTXGP are ready for the first world championship of the TTXGP racing series. The eCRP 1.2 will be ready to compete at Albacete in Spain.

The CRP Racing team and with rider Alessandro Brannetti will have the task to represent Italy with the goal of bringing the Italian flag to the podium. The team is working hard to repeat their victories at Assen and Brands Hatch, where they secured the European title.

CRP Racing entered the TTXGP only few months ago, creating the eCRP 1.2, and testing the new machine within only weeks of the first race. The application of their racing knowledge helped them win the title of TTXGP EU 2010 Champions on October the 3rd.

Alessandro Brannetti authored an amazing performance. His heart and mind were focused on the task. The eCRP 1.2, the 100% electric racing motorbike, showed its performance potential and highlighted the motorsport expertise of the CRP Racing team.

The Russian team SMP Racing will be joining CRP Racing on the track, running an eCRP 1.2 with the young rider Ivanov Alexey putting the Italian electric motorbike to the test.

The attention is now focused on the circuit of Albacete. The excitement of the competition and anticipation of the crowning of the first TTXGP World Champion will insure a charged atmosphere. The grid will be filled with the pioneers of this new Green racing, and all will be helping to write a new chapter in Motorsports.

TTXGP Format / Rule Changes for 2011. Staying Charged.

As TTXGP gets ready for the Final in Albacete, it looks forward to 2011 with a shakeup of the format and the tweaking of the rules

TTXGP is now well on the way for 2011 with some changes to racing format driven by the experiences of 2010.

In partnership with the TTXGP Technical Panel, and the contributions from the Wiki.eGrandPrix.Com, we have also brought in some changes to the rules that will drive the twin missions of safety and racing in a sensible and meaningful way.

Format Highlights:

• 2 races per weekend (up from the current 1)

• 2 classes per race (up from the current 1)

• Formula GP takes the current class forward only with a reduction in the max overall weight to 250kg (from 300kg). This is to encourage improvements in long term power to weight ratios and is a better fit for direct premium end road applications.

• A brand new class for 2011: Formula 75. This limits the amount of stored energy to 7.5KwH and the max overall weight to 200kg. TTXGP has been looking to make racing more affordable but still keep the thrill of the racing with the dynamics of technological innovation. F75 sets out to create a milestone for new teams focused on efficiency.

• We keep the National and Regional Championship qualifiers with a single World Championship final.

We have also made significant strides in safety and in 2011 we will be introducing new features to continue making the need for speed as safe as possible.

Highlights are:

• An additional 3rd safety cut-off in the form of a lanyard attached to the rider and the bike.

• Clarification and tightening of the TTXGP standards for emergency cut-off switches.

We owe thanks to the members of the TTXGP Technical Rules Wiki community who introduced some of these ideas to the series. At the time when we took the WikiSnap in August, we had more than 85,000 page views with 650 contributions. Among those active users were teams, motorcycle racers, engineers, and EV enthusiasts. The Wiki has been a real step forward in our invitation to "Be Part of It" and we will continue to run it under the able eyes of Harry Mallin, @eMotoRules.

"The camaraderie and enthusiasm of the active users and their innovative ideas were the driving force that kept this TTXGP Wiki active and dynamic over the course of the 2010 season. I know that the Wiki community will continue to grow and provide the foundation for the best electrical motorcycle racing series in the world." said Harry.

Our thanks also to the members of the IET who form the TTXGP Technical Panel under the chairmanship of the IET fellow, Simon Maddison, CEng FIET FBCS.

With specialists in the field from across the world, The TTXGP technical panel offers the expertise and scrutineering support to the teams as we continue to expand the world class racing platform.

Simon said, "It's great to see how TTXGP has progressed over the past year, and very encouraging to see how successful the rules have been in creating a solid framework for the evolution of the event"

Detailed rules will be published shortly, but this gives you a taster on what is to come.

TTXGP invites potential teams to engage with us so that we can plan and build the very best motorcycle championship that meets the needs of all the stakeholders.

TTXGP, passion for speed, driver of technology. To stay in the game, be part of it.
Be right back. I am going to go find myself, and if I leave before I get back, make sure to tell me !! -
