This book is called 'THAT NEAR DEATH THING' its written by a chap called Rick Broadbent and its a must for tt fans, please dont let the title put you off as its compulsive reading in fact i have started reading it again.

I too was disappointed at the title picked for a book about the TT....but the book is a very good read and told me a few things a/ I had forgotten and b/ some facts I didn't know !

I agree Ian the title is not good but some of the content opens ones eyes in fact the best read since 'last of the great road races' which was published around 1978 and told of an outsiders first visit to the TT.

Great book, I'm in the middle of it and can't put it down.
