Stuart Easton settled in the dry afternoon session to dictate the pace in the opening Motorpoint British Supersport Championship n free practice ahead of the title deciding races this weekend, running ahead of title rival Alastair Seeley who was fourth fastest.
But the rider who proved the man for all sessions was Richard Cooper, riding the Oxford TAG Triumph, who had set the pace in the morning damp and then closed within a tenth of a second of Martrain Yamaha's Easton next time out.
Jason O'Halloran was third fastest aboard the Samsung Honda in both sessions and finished a third of a second up on Gearlink Kawasaki's Seeley who was marginally faster than defending champon Glen Richards on the Smiths Triumph, Graeme Gowland aboard the Appleyard Macadam Doodson Yamaha and Ben Wilson on the second Gearlink bike.
Luke Mossey, the Silverstone race winner, was eighth fastest on the Techcare Profile Triumph ahead of Luke Jones, T3 Triumph and tenth fastest Luke Mossey who tipped off his Smiths Triumph.
