We heard the sad news yesterday at 5 o'clock whilst driving from Portrush to Belfast. I nearly crashed the car I was that shocked. On the way back to Portrush we stopped at Joey's bar and had a beer to toast the memories we have of DJ and there are plenty of them. Only three weeks ago we watched in awe as Big Dave powerslid the GSX-R 1000 from Church Corner to Black Hill in the peeing rain!!! Everyone else was short-shifting - the man was a genius.
We send our condolences to the Jefferies family, close friends and to all involved with TAS Suzuki. Adrian Archibald WILL WIN the F1 TT in DJ's memory!

I was stunned when I heard the news. Saw him win recently at Thruxton.

Simply put, DJ was the greatest living rider on the planet - his records at the TT were testament to his awesome speed and skill. DJ and the TAS Suzuki 1000 were an unbeatable combination, I will never forget him.

An absolute tragedy, Dave was a big man in many ways, he will be sadly missed. Deepest sympathy to his family.
