RE: Favourite TT Year and Why
Yes, I agree and I would like you all to continue the thread here, or if you wish under a new Thread.
I have spent quite a bit of time this evening helping a member to sort out his postings with an included photograph and what happened was, after he had managed to successfully upload a post with a photograph, there was a duplicate posting that I was attempting to remove. I inadvertently pressed the delete Thread button, instead of the delete Post button, and well, you can see what happened.
Totally my fault, so again, sorry gents.
Malcolm.

RE: Favourite TT Year and Why
1978 was my first year on the scoreboards as a scout, I grew up on the IoM and spent all my younger years been taken to watch and knocking around the paddock @ TT/MGP - still have all my stickers from the happy times, these are just a few, 1984 was my first year involved in spannering/pit crew for a rider and there was a fab variety of 2-strokes everywhere - Proddy race, F2, Junior, Senior and the big 700/750 sidecars then 1990 I got my first go at The MGP then 1994 my first TT, all favourite years for different reasons - have missed only 1 TT in 48. Don't remember the Honda 6's but was I born day after Senior 67 and Mum n Dad were out watching all the races, Senior from Hillberry as Doc's told them not to travel too far on closed roads from the Jane Crookall Maternity wing. Born into it, wouldn't be without any of it.

I also went with MCN in 1969 as you say brilliant weather. Walked from the ferry terminal to signpost trip cost about £8 happy days

RE: Favourite TT Year and Why
for me has to be 2004 not my first trip had been a couple of times in the 70s with my parents , but this was the first year I went with my then 7 year old son and a mate of mine , none of them had been before got off the early morning ferry and headed for peel campsite joining the track at quarterbridge my hairs stood up as we drove down the track in awe as we where actually driving down the track and all the history that had gone down there before my son couldn't believe we where allowed on the track , I envy people going for the first time as that feeling I think you only get once magical
been every year since with my son until this year school holidays didn't fall in with it so had to miss as he had important exams same again next year
least favourite year 2014 arrived on the sat of practice week went to the grandstand on the sun for a look round felt unwell had a heart attack rushed to nobles flown over to Liverpool for op saved my life , very lucky boy didn't happen 24 hrs earlier on boat or wouldn't be here all manx people really helpful looked after my son couldn't do enough for us cant thank them enough

RE: Favourite TT Year and Why
2002 as it was my first. We had booked for 2001 but it was canceled for FMD.
Came over with my wife on a rented Honda Blackbird.
So many special things about that week I can't even begin to list them.
Made all the newbie mistakes and loved every minute

1981 my 1st year Jock Taylor & Benga stood out for me,but 1992 Hizzy Foggy in the Senior was the best race.
